Samir had been the head of Asian Emerging Markets previously and also holds a master's in Finance from IIM-C IIT Delhi. Samir is also the founder of Helios and Fund Manager of Helios Singapore. For the past 17 years, he has managed FII funds using India-focused long and long-short strategies at Helios. Samir formerly worked at Alliance Capital Management as the Head of Asian Emerging Markets. He began his career as an International Analyst at Alliance Capital, covering sectors in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. He thereafter moved to India as Fund Manager and CIO of Alliance Capital's Mutual Fund division until 2003, when he transferred to Singapore as Head of Asian EM. Samir Arora is a well-known veteran of the Indian markets who has been renowned for his fund management abilities, as seen by the numerous awards he has received throughout his time at Alliance. He holds an MBA from IIM-C and a bachelor's degree in engineering from IIT Delhi. He also holds a master's degree in finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

Dinshaw is the Executive Director of Helios and also the Principle Portfolio Manager. Helios India's CIO is Dinshaw Irani. He was previously the executive director of Artemis Advisors (exclusive research advisors to Helios Singapore) for almost 14 years. Dinshaw began his professional career as an analyst at Sun F&C Mutual Fund and Lloyd Securities. He eventually became the VP of the Asian Emerging Markets team at Alliance Capital (Mumbai) for three years, covering the consumer and pharmaceutical sectors.
